CoLivings in Jakarta

Discover why Jakarta is perfect for coliving

I lived in Jakarta for a few months and loved the chaos. The city is loud, crowded and warm. It rains hard sometimes and then the sun comes back. The food scene is wild. Street stalls serve nasi goreng at midnight. Most travellers enjoy hunting for tiny kopitiams and seafood by the sea. For digital nomads the internet is solid in cafes and coworking spaces. Mobile data is fast too. Cost of living is low for Westerners. Local meals and motorbike rides cost very little. Housing can be cheap or pricey depending on the area. Things to do are endless. Old Batavia feels like stepping back in time. Weekends I read about island trips and joined a beach volleyball game on the Thousand Islands. It was messy and fun. Arguably not the best for quiet days. Traffic and air make you think twice about biking. But the nomad community is real. Meetups and rooftop bars make it easy to find friends. For some, this will be amazing.
