The Bakery - Culture Centre

Die Bäckerei is an open cultural center located in Innsbruck, housed in the premises of an old bakery. It serves as a platform for various forms of creative self-expression and offers a culture program along with a consumption-free space. The venue hosts a diverse range of events and activities for engaged individuals to collaborate and develop inspiring projects. Despite ongoing construction work that may limit operations during the day due to roof removal and additional floor installation, scheduled events will proceed as planned, albeit with potential minor inconveniences like dust and clutter in some areas. With around 13 organizations, 50 coworkers, and approximately 600 events annually, The Bäckerei fosters a creative environment where individuals can actively engage in various artistic pursuits. The space encourages collaborations and partnerships both within its walls and beyond, resulting in a continuous flow of creative energy that inspires others to participate. Visitors can enjoy the café as a meeting point with a self-service corner during the day, which transforms into a cozy bar with a diverse audience on weekends, creating a welcoming atmosphere for patrons to unwind and socialize. Additionally, The Bäckerei offers opportunities for individuals to get involved, whether on stage, as event organizers, or as members of initiatives.
