Why choose Yogyakarta for your next coliving experience

I stayed in Yogyakarta for a month and loved the mood. The city feels artsy and messy. Street food stalls hum at night. Temples sit a short ride away. It gets hot and humid. Rain comes some months. For some, that will be perfect. For others, the heat might wear you down. Cost of living is low. You can rent a simple room and eat well without breaking the bank. Internet is decent. Many cafes and small coworking spots have fast Wi Fi. Sometimes it slows during heavy rain. Most travellers enjoy working from a cafe in Prawirotaman or a quiet guesthouse. Things to do are endless. Sunrise at Borobudur. Batik classes. Sunset at Parangtritis. I once edited a blog while watching a tiny puppet show outside a cafe. There is a small, friendly nomad community. Evening meetups and shared rides to temples happen often. Arguably not the best if you need big-city polish. But it feels real and alive.
