Why choose Slovenia for your next coliving experience
Slovenia surprised me. Small country. Big green mountains and a neat little coast. Cities feel calm and tidy. People are polite and a bit quiet. Most travellers enjoy the cafe life in Ljubljana by the river. For some, the cool alpine air will be amazing. Arguably not the best if you want palm trees year round.
Cost of living is fair. Cheaper than big Western capitals. Not rock bottom cheap. Good value for food and transport. Internet is solid. Fast Wi Fi in cafes and real fiber in cities. Lots of coworking spaces and regular meetups. I once worked in a riverside cafe and ended up joining a coworking pub quiz. Little moments like that make it feel like a community.
Things to do are wild. Hike in Triglav. Swim in Lake Bled. Sail the Adriatic. Winters bring cozy mountain days. It is easy to slow down and get work done here.
