Edinburgh feels like a town with big-city perks. Old stone streets. A castle on a hill. Creative people everywhere. Most travellers enjoy the mix of cosy pubs and buzzing festivals. I once worked from a cafe near Greyfriars and a busker started a fiddle tune. It was magic.
The vibe is lively and a bit scholarly. Weather is cool and changeable. For some this will be perfect. For others it might be too gray. Cost of living is lower than London but not cheap. You still get good value for food and coffee.
