Experience the benefits of coliving in Sarajevo
Sarajevo feels like two cities at once. Old Ottoman lanes meet Austro Hungarian streets. The vibe is relaxed and a little raw. Summers get warm. Winters bring snow on the surrounding mountains. Most travellers enjoy the slow coffee culture in Baščaršija. I once opened my laptop in a tiny kafana while an old man played saz outside. Felt like living inside a story.
For digital nomads this city is easy on the wallet. Not as cheap as bigger Balkan towns but much cheaper than Western Europe. Internet is solid. Cafes and coworking spaces have good wifi and plugs. Sometimes older buildings can be patchy. Things to do are great. Hike up Trebević in the morning. Afternoon museums and street markets. Evenings full of small concerts and film events. Community is small but friendly. You will find meetups and a handful of other nomads. For some this will be amazing. For others it might feel too quiet. I liked the mix of history, nature and real local life.
