Why Lombok is a great city for coliving
Lombok surprised me. The island feels raw and calm. People are friendly. The Sasak culture shows in markets and village houses. Beaches are wide, sand is soft, and surf is real. The weather is warm and sunny most of the year. In the wet months things get green and wild.
For a digital nomad this is nice. Cost of living is low compared to Bali. You can eat at local warungs and pay little. Internet is hit and miss. In Kuta and Senggigi the cafes and a few coworking spots have decent Wi Fi and 4G. Out on quiet beaches it can slow down. There is a small nomad crowd. Most travellers enjoy the chill surf and hike vibe. I once worked on my laptop in a beach warung, then joined a sunset beach volley game with locals. For some this will be amazing. For others it might feel too slow. There is hiking, diving, surf, and a calm community to meet.
