Experience the best of coliving in Kota Kinabalu
Kota Kinabalu feels easy. The city sits by the sea with palm trees and a messy, friendly vibe. Most travellers enjoy the busy night market and cheap seafood. The sun is strong and it is hot and humid. Sudden heavy rain is normal. For some, this will be amazing. For others, the humidity is tiring.
I stayed a month and ended up at a sunset beach volleyball game at Tanjung Aru. I met other nomads and locals. There are small co working spots and cafes with decent Wi Fi. Mobile internet is pretty reliable too. Cost of living is low compared to big cities. Food, transport and rooms can be cheap.
Things to do are endless. Snorkel on nearby islands. Hike Mount Kinabalu if you like hard days. Visit parks and try local markets. The nomad community is small but welcoming. It is relaxed, simple and real. Arguably not perfect for nightlife seekers, but great for nature lovers who need work time too.
