Nairobi feels alive. Busy streets. Green parks. Good coffee. The city mixes modern life with Kenyan culture. Most travellers enjoy the music nights and the food markets. I once joined a hack night at Nairobi Garage and left with two new friends and a list of cafes to try.
The climate is mild. Cool mornings. Warm days. Rain comes in short bursts. For digital nomads this works well. Coworking spaces and cafes have reliable internet. Mobile data is fast in most neighborhoods. Cost of living is lower than many Western cities but can rise in nicer areas. For some, this will be amazing.
Things to do are wild. You can hike Ngong Hills in the morning and book a safari for the weekend. There are strong startup and expat communities. Meetups happen all the time. Arguably not the best if you want beach life. But if you want city energy with easy weekend escapes, Nairobi is a great pick.
