Why Groningen is perfect for coliving

Groningen is small but loud. It is full of bikes, students and cosy cafés. The vibe is young and curious. Winters are chilly and windy. Summers are short and sweet with lots of outdoor hangouts. I read that people set up city beach volleyball in Noorderplantsoen in summer. I watched a pop up gig in the Grote Markt once and it felt alive. For digital nomads this town is easy to love. Cost of living is lower than Amsterdam but not super cheap. Internet is solid and fast in most cafés and coworking spots. There are several friendly coworking spaces and evening meetups for freelancers. Things to do include cycling the flat countryside, visiting the Groninger Museum, markets and small festivals. The community is mostly students and internationals. Most travellers enjoy how easy it is to meet people. For some, the size might feel small. I found it a great base for focused work and quick weekend escapes.
