Why Galle should be your next coliving destination

Galle feels like a small town with big stories. The old fort streets are full of peeling paint, cosy cafes and colonial vibes. It is hot and humid most of the year and then it rains hard in the monsoon. Most travellers enjoy the slow pace. I once joined a sunset beach volleyball game in nearby Unawatuna and then ate spicy crab with new friends. For digital nomads it is cheap compared to home. Guesthouses and food are affordable. Internet is mostly fine. Cafes and some guesthouses have decent Wi Fi and 4G. For some, this will be amazing. For others, it can be patchy during heavy rain. There is a small nomad community. Meetups pop up in the Fort and on rooftops. Things to do are endless. Surfing, snorkeling, wandering markets, and long walks on the ramparts. Arguably not the best for those who need perfect city infrastructure. But if you like charm and a slower rhythm, Galle works.
