Discover the benefits of coliving in Évora
I fell for Évora fast. Old stone streets. White houses. Big blue skies. The sun beats down in summer and winters are mild. The town feels slow and cozy. Most travellers enjoy the tiny squares where students sip coffee and folks chat late into the night.
For a nomad it works well. It is cheaper than Lisbon. Rent and food are easier on the wallet. Internet is solid in cafés and in a few small coworking spots. I found a sunny cafe by Giraldo Square with strong wifi and a baker who knew my laptop setup by day two.
Things to do are simple and nice. Walk the Roman Temple. Peek into the Chapel of Bones. Join a wine tasting or rent a bike and cross the quiet plains. There is a small community of students, artists and a few expats. For some, the slow pace will be amazing. Arguably not the best for big-city nightlife. But if you want calm, culture and good coffee, Évora is a sweet spot.
