For some, this will be amazing. Rent and day-to-day costs are lower than back home. Internet is solid in most cafes and coworking spaces. Mobile data is fast enough for calls and video work. I once sat on Galle Face Green at sunset and saw people fly kites while a vendor handed out spicy rolls. Little moments like that happen a lot.
