MINO Artspace is an independent art and community space located in Antwerp, founded in January 2022. The organization is dedicated to nurturing emerging artists and community builders, viewing art as a powerful force for positive personal and societal transformation. MINO serves as a platform for multidisciplinary artists to kickstart, explore, and enhance their artistic practices, encouraging experimentation and boundary-pushing in a supportive environment. Within MINO Artspace, there are several key programs and initiatives aimed at empowering artists and fostering creativity. The MINO LAB Residency is an annual program that supports six transdisciplinary artists in developing their practices through social art strategies. Additionally, the MINO Female Artist Mentorship (FAM) provides a six-month individual development path for emerging female artists in their initial five years of practice, pairing them with experienced artist mentors such as Otobong Nkanga and Leonard Pongo for personal and artistic growth. Moreover, MINO Artspace offers ongoing support through programs like Mama Chicken for their community of creatives and community builders, assisting them in advancing their endeavors. The team at MINO Artspace includes individuals like Ama Koranteng-Kumi, the Co-founder & Artistic Director; Tinne Langens, Co-founder & Operations Director; Tatjana Henderieckx, Artistic Coordinator; Dorien Campforts, Financial Coordinator; Lela Van Berkel, Social Media Manager; and Kerya, Project Assistant for the Agency.
