It consists of four organizations under its group structure, including Cadarn Housing Group Limited, Newydd Housing Association (1974) Limited, Newydd Maintenance Limited, and Living Quarters (Lettings & Sales) Wales Limited. Newydd Housing Association is the public-facing brand that owns and manages 3,000 homes for affordable rent and low-cost home ownership, along with community regeneration initiatives. Cadarn Housing Group provides oversight and support services to Newydd Housing Association. The board of Cadarn Housing Group comprises individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise. Claire Marshall serves as the Chair, bringing over ten years of experience in audit, finance, corporate finance, and risk roles. Kris Ablett, a Board Member since 2017, focuses on customer service improvement in the housing sector and serves as the Customer Care and Equalities Champion. Other board members include Goi Ashmore, a finance, treasury, and risk consultant; Deb Austin, working in Children and Young People’s mental health and wellbeing; Iorwen Brooks-Jones, a retired solicitor; Rhys Thomas, a chartered construction manager; Matthew Dicks, Director of the Chartered Institute of Housing Cymru; and Vikki Evans, Head of Active Ageing with Derwen. The board members contribute diverse skills and experiences to ensure the effective governance and management of Cadarn Housing Group.
