Wales surprised me. The coast is raw and the hills are very green. Cities like Cardiff feel lively. Small towns feel slow. The weather is mild and often rainy. For some, that will be amazing. I love the cozy pubs and the music nights. I read online about a pick up beach volleyball game at Rhossili and wanted to try it.
Most travellers enjoy cheap eats and a lower cost of living than big UK cities. Internet is solid in Cardiff and Swansea and in co working spaces. Out in the hills it can be slower. There are lots of things to do. Surf in Gower. Hike in Snowdonia. Visit old castles. Join local festivals. The nomad community is small but real. You can find meet ups and coffee shops with plugs. I met remote workers on a sunset hike once. It felt easy to mix work with adventure. Wales is quiet and wild. It might be the calm you need.
