Why Busan should be your next coliving destination
I spent a month in Busan and loved its messy, salty charm. It feels lively but not frantic. Beaches like Haeundae and Gwangalli are full of people playing volleyball at sunset. I joined a random game once and made new friends. Most travellers enjoy the seafood markets and the colourful lanes of Gamcheon Culture Village.
The vibe is coastal and relaxed. Summers are humid. Winters are cool and bearable. Busan is easier on the wallet than Seoul. You can find cheap eats and affordable rooms but there are also pricier spots.
Internet is fast enough. Cafes and coworking spaces have solid Wi Fi and plugs. I found a rooftop cafe that became my afternoon office. There is a small nomad crowd. Meetups and expat bars make it easy to connect.
Things to do are endless. Hike behind the city, watch sunrise on the beach, or wander night markets. For some, the humidity or crowds will be annoying. For me, Busan felt like a real place to live and work.
