Why Auckland is perfect for coliving
Auckland feels alive and easy to like. It is a harbor city with volcano cones, ferries and lots of green. The weather is mild and can change fast. Sunny mornings, quick showers in the afternoon. The culture is mixed. Maori traditions sit next to new cafes and Asian food courts. Most travellers enjoy the friendly, relaxed vibe. For a nomad this city works well. Internet is fast and steady in most neighborhoods. There are many coworking spots and cafes with plugs. Housing and food are not cheap. For some, this will be amazing. For budget hunters, it might sting. There is always something to do. Weekend ferry to Waiheke for wineries. Hike Rangitoto. Surf or swim on sandy beaches. I once took a ferry to Devonport, found a sunny cafe with good wifi, and worked with a harbor view. Community meetups pop up often. The tech scene and expat groups make it easy to meet people. Arguably not perfect for everyone, but very liveable for many nomads.
