Why Almaty is perfect for coliving

Almaty surprised me. Mountains press close to the city. Winters get snowy and sharp. Summers are dry and warm. The air feels clean. Streets mix Soviet blocks with shiny cafes and loud bazaars. I loved walking past Zenkov Cathedral and then getting lost in the Green Bazaar for fresh bread. Most travellers enjoy the outdoor life. You can ski at Shymbulak or hike to Big Almaty Lake in a day. I met a small crew in a café and ended up on a sunrise hike. That felt real. For digital nomads, it is affordable compared to Western cities. Cafés and coworking spaces are cheap enough to stay a while. Internet is solid in most places and there are a few reliable coworking hubs. The expat and local tech scene is small but friendly. For some, the language and bureaucracy will be a puzzle. Arguably not the best if you need tropical beaches. But if you like mountains, cheap eats, and honest people, this could be amazing.
