Top reasons to choose Kazakhstan for coliving

Listen, Kazakhstan surprised me. Big skies. Mountains hugging cities. A mix of Soviet blocks and nomad tents. Cafes smell of fresh bread and strong tea. Summers get warm. Winters can be brutally cold in the north. For some, that seasonal swing will be amazing. Cities like Almaty and Nur-Sultan have fast Wi Fi and coworking spots. Mobile internet is cheap and pretty reliable in towns. Rent and food feel affordable compared to Western Europe. Most travellers enjoy the low cost and easy cafes to work from. Things to do are wild. Hike the Tian Shan. Explore Charyn Canyon. Wander the Green Bazaar. I read about a coworking group that took a weekend to the mountains and ended up sharing tea with a dombra player. Small nomad circles exist. Meetups pop up on Facebook. Community is friendly, not huge. Arguably not the best if you need nonstop nightlife or beaches. But if you like nature, space and a curious culture, this is a cool place to settle for a while.
