Experience the benefits of coliving in Valparaíso

Valparaíso feels like a painting you can walk through. Houses stack on steep hills. Colorful murals are everywhere. The port air makes mornings cool and foggy. Nights bring music from tiny bars. Most travellers enjoy the bohemian vibe and cheeky street art. For some this will be amazing. Others might find it loud and messy. Cost of living is friendlier than Santiago. Cheap markets, fresh seafood and small cafés keep budgets low. Internet is fine in cafés and coworking spots downtown. In old houses it can be patchy, so expect to move around if you need steady speed. I once worked from a sunlit café in Cerro Alegre while a painter fixed a wall across the street. It was oddly inspiring. Things to do are simple. Walk alleys, ride the funicular, visit Neruda’s house, take a boat ride. There is a small community of artists, expats and nomads who meet up often. Arguably not the best for absolute peace, but great if you like creative chaos.
