I loved working from the UAE. Clean skyscrapers. Warm sea. Big malls and tiny coffee shops. The vibe is modern mixed with old souks. Most travellers enjoy the safety and the mix of cultures. Internet is very fast. Coworking spaces are easy to find. I read online about a Jumeirah beach volleyball group and I actually joined them one morning. That was a fun way to meet people.
Rent in Dubai and Abu Dhabi can be pricey. For some, that will be a deal breaker. Other emirates are cheaper. There are lots of cafes and rooftop spots to work from. Things to do are endless. Desert sunsets, art galleries, fancy food and small local markets. The expat and nomad community is active. You will find meetups and startup events. The heat can be intense in summer. Arguably not the best in July. But for winter months it feels perfect.
