Why Tromsø is perfect for coliving
Tromsø feels wild and cozy at the same time. Old wooden houses, loud seabirds, and a lively student crowd. Winters are long and dark but light up with the Northern Lights. Summers give you midnight sun and warm nights. For some, the cold is perfect. For others, too much.
Good news for nomads. Internet is fast and steady. There are a few coworking spots and lots of cafes with Wi Fi. Cost of living is high compared to many places, but you get safety, clean air, and easy access to nature.
Things to do never run out. Hikes, fjord trips, whale watches, skiing, polar museums. I read about people playing beach volleyball at Telegrafbukta at midnight in July. Nice image, right?
Community is small but friendly. Most travellers enjoy chatting with locals in bars or meeting other remote workers at meetups. Arguably not the cheapest place to live. But if you like dramatic skies and fresh air, Tromsø is hard to beat.
