Why coliving in St. Gallen is a great choice
St. Gallen feels like a small city with a big brain. Old baroque buildings and the famous Abbey library sit next to modern cafés. Winters can be snowy and quiet. Summers are warm and perfect for hikes or a swim in nearby Lake Constance.
For digital nomads this town is solid. Internet is fast and steady. Cafés and a few coworking spots are comfy and not crowded like the big cities. Cost of living is high compared to many places, but cheaper than Zurich or Geneva. Most travellers enjoy the student energy from the university. That keeps the nights lively and the coffee cheap.
I once stayed above Spisergasse and ended up chatting with students about a tiny startup idea until midnight. Things to do are easy: museums, trails up Säntis, weekend markets, and the summer OpenAir music vibe. For some this will be amazing. Arguably not the best if you need nonstop nightlife, but perfect if you want calm, culture, and good internet.
