Why Sibiu should be your next coliving destination
Sibiu feels like a storybook town with real life inside. Cobbled streets lead to big squares where people sip coffee and chat. The old buildings are colorful. Winters get snowy and crisp. Summers are warm and easy. Most travellers enjoy the lively festival scene. I sat in the main square once and watched actors perform until late.
For digital nomads it hits a sweet spot. It is cheaper than big Western cities but not tiny. Rent and food are friendly on the wallet. Internet is solid in cafés and at a few coworking spots. There is a small but active expat and creative crowd. You will find language exchanges, meetups and quiet corners to work.
Things to do are close by. Museums, a big open air folk park, and the Făgăraș mountains for weekend hikes. Arguably not the best if you crave beaches or nonstop nightlife. For some this will be amazing. For me it felt calm, curious, and easy to call home for a while.
