San Francisco feels alive. Streets hum with bikes, cafes and startup talk. The city mixes tech energy with arts and food from everywhere. The weather is mild. Expect foggy mornings and sunny afternoons. Some neighborhoods feel chilly. Others are warm and bright.
Cost of living is high. For some, the price is worth the chances to meet people and projects. Internet is great. I found fast wifi in most coffee shops and coworking spaces. Most travellers enjoy the quick online work and easy video calls.
Things to do never end. Hike the hills, wander Mission murals, watch sunsets at Ocean Beach, or join a weekend farmer market. I once worked in a cafe then stayed for an outdoor concert a few blocks away. I also saw people playing beach volleyball at Crissy Field.
There is a strong nomad and startup community. Meetups pop up every week. Arguably not the best if you need quiet cheap living. But if you want energy and connections, this city is hard to beat.
