Pipa is a small surf town with big energy. The vibe is relaxed and friendly. You will hear Portuguese, guitar music and people laughing in the street. The climate is warm and breezy most of the year. Rain comes in short bursts in summer.
For digital nomads this place hits a lot of boxes. Cost of living is lower than big Brazilian cities. For some things you pay tourist prices, but food and rooms can be cheap. Internet is decent in guesthouses and cafés. There are a few coworking spots and many spots with reliable Wi Fi, though it can drop during storms.
Things to do are endless. Most travellers enjoy surfing, yoga and sunset on the cliffs. I read about a friendly beach volleyball game at Praia do Amor where locals join tourists. Dolphins often show up in the bay. The nomad scene is small but real. People meet for pizza, work bursts and morning surf. Arguably not the best for total solitude in high season, but it can feel like home.
