Why Phoenix is a great city for coliving
I loved Phoenix for the weird mix of desert calm and city energy. It is hot in summer and perfect in winter. The vibe is artsy and easy. Roosevelt Row has murals and a lively First Friday art walk. Most travellers enjoy the coffee shops and taco spots that feel local not touristy.
For digital nomads the basics work well. Rent is lower than on the coasts but popular neighborhoods can cost more. Internet is fast and steady in most cafes and coworking spaces. There are real communities here. I joined a sunset hike up Camelback and later met people at a coworking happy hour. For some this will be amazing.
Things to do are outdoor and simple. Hikes, desert sunsets, food trucks, small breweries. I read about a weekend beach volleyball group at Tempe Town Lake and that sounds fun. Arguably not the best if you hate heat. But if you like wide skies and a friendly scene, Phoenix grows on you.
