I fell for Nicaragua fast. Warm air, lots of sun, and a slow pace. Towns like Granada feel old and colorful. The surf towns on the Pacific are loud with music and bonfires. Most travellers enjoy the mix of Spanish colonial streets and wild nature. For some, the rainy season might be messy.
Cost of living is low compared to Europe or the US. You can eat out and rent cheap. Internet is okay in cities and cafes. It can be hit or miss in tiny villages. There are co working cafes in Granada and San Juan del Sur. You will find other nomads at sunset surf sessions. I once watched a group play beach volleyball at Playa Maderas while people packed up their laptops.
Things to do are endless. Surf. Hike volcanoes. Swim in lakes. The community is friendly and small. Arguably not the best if you need perfect infrastructure, but I think it has a great vibe for slow work and adventure.
