Mendoza feels like a slow, sunny friend. Vineyards everywhere. Mountains close enough to touch. The people love food and wine. Most travellers enjoy the easy pace and the open plazas. Summers are hot and dry. Winters are cool and clear. That weather makes outdoor work easy.
Cost of living is low compared to big cities. For some, this will be amazing if you want good value. Internet in the city is solid. You will find cafes and a few coworking spots with reliable Wi Fi. There is a small but friendly nomad crowd. I read online about a weekend coworking picnic in a vineyard and turned up. Ended up working by grapevines and swapping tips with other remotes. Little moments like that happen here.
Things to do? Bike through vineyards, hike in the Andes, sip Malbec, and eat great empanadas. Arguably not the best if you crave nonstop nightlife. But if you want calm, nature and good wine, Mendoza fits.
