Why Mar del Plata is perfect for coliving
I fell for Mar del Plata the minute I saw surfers at dawn. The city feels like a big beach town with lots of cafes and seafood places. Summers are busy and warm. Winters are cool and windy. Most travellers enjoy the lively vibe and late nights with beer and asado.
For digital nomads it works well. Living here is more affordable than Europe. You can stretch a budget or splurge on nice seafood. Internet is good in cafes and co working spots around Güemes and Playa Grande. It handled my video calls fine most days. In high season it can get slower.
Things to do are endless. Surfing, beach volleyball at La Perla, small music bars, and a busy fish market. I read about a morning volley game that strangers join and it really happens. The nomad community is small but friendly. For some this will be amazing. For others who want tropical heat it might feel cold sometimes. Still, it has charm and a steady rhythm I liked.
