Vaduz surprised me. Small capital. Castle on the hill watches over tidy streets. The vibe is calm and a little fancy. Alpine climate. Cold winters with snow. Warm, short summers that make hiking perfect.
Most travellers enjoy the short walks by the Rhine and the tiny museums. For digital work you get fast, reliable internet. There are a few small coworking spots and cozy cafes with good Wi Fi. The cost of living is high. For some, this will be amazing because things feel safe and clean. For others, the price will sting.
Things to do after work are great. Hike up to viewpoints. Rent a bike. Day trips to Switzerland or Austria are easy. I read about locals meeting for evening runs along the river. Community is small but friendly. You might meet other remote workers at a cafe or a gallery opening. Arguably not the best for big-city nightlife. But if you want calm, fresh air, and steady internet, Vaduz is worth a try.
