Khomuli felt honest and slow. Small town energy. Hills, green fields and old stone houses. Summers are warm and sunny. Winters get chilly and sometimes a light snow. The people are warm. Most travellers enjoy the homey cafes and the loud, friendly market on mornings. I once worked from a sunlit courtyard cafe while a local woman kept bringing fresh bread to everyone. That stuck with me.
For digital nomads it is cheap compared to big cities. Rent and food are easy on the wallet. Internet is mostly good. Mobile 4G works and many cafes have Wi Fi that handles video calls. Do expect slower days now and then.
Things to do are simple and real. Walks, small hikes, river spots, nearby churches and family-run wine tastings. The expat scene is small but friendly. For some this will be amazing. Arguably not the best if you need nonstop city life. But if you want calm, cheap living and real people, Khomuli is a nice surprise.
