Ibiza feels alive. Towns pulse with music and quiet villages hide olive trees. The sun is out most of the year. Summers are hot. Winters are mild and calm.
Most travellers enjoy the mix. Big beach parties and small yoga classes sit side by side. I once stumbled on a drum circle at Benirras at sunset. It felt raw and real. For some, the nightlife will be too loud. For others, that is the point.
Living here is on the pricey side compared to mainland Spain. Still, you can find shared flats and cheaper spots if you look. Internet in town is fast. Coworking spaces in Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia are friendly. I met a developer in a café and we ended up sailing the next weekend. There are sea swims, cliff walks, markets and good food. The nomad crowd is small but warm. You can plug into events or hide away with your laptop. It is easy to meet people and also easy to be alone.
