Why Durban should be your next coliving destination

Durban feels like a warm hug. Most travellers enjoy the sunny beaches, spicy food and relaxed pace. The city mixes Zulu culture with a strong Indian vibe. Expect loud markets, curries you will crave, and people who smile easy. The climate is warm and humid most of the year. For some, this will be amazing. For others, the heat is a lot. Internet is solid in cafés and coworking spots. I worked from Workshop17 and had no problem with video calls. Cost of living is easy on the wallet compared to Europe. You can find cheap eats and affordable apartments, but nicer spots cost more. There is always something to do. Surfing at the Golden Mile, a sunset walk on the promenade, or a busy night market. I once read about a beach volleyball game at North Beach, joined and ended up at a braai with new friends. The nomad community is small but friendly. Argubly not the best for remote work if you need quiet mountain views. Still, Durban has soul and a good rhythm to work and play.
