Discover the benefits of coliving in Dominican Republic
I love the Dominican Republic for remote work. The people are loud and friendly. Music is everywhere. The food hits different. The weather is warm most of the year. It can get humid and there is a rainy season and hurricanes, so plan for that.
Most travellers enjoy the low cost of living. You can rent cheaply outside the resort zones. For some, living here will be amazing because food and taxis are cheap. Internet is solid in Santo Domingo, Punta Cana and Cabarete. Out in small towns it can be slow. Coworking spaces are popping up in the bigger hubs. Mobile data is decent too.
Things to do are endless. Surf or kite in Cabarete. Hike in Jarabacoa. Walk the old streets of Zona Colonial. I read on a forum that Playa Encuentro turns into a volleyball party at sunset. That sounds fun. The nomad community is small but real. Friendly faces at cafés. Easy to meet people.
