Top reasons to choose Romania for coliving
Cluj-Napoca is one of my favorite stops in Romania. The city feels young. Lots of students, cafes and small art shows. Summers are warm and winters can be crisp with a dusting of snow. Most travellers enjoy the cafe culture. I liked working from a sunny terrace while listening to tram bells.
It is cheap by Western Europe rules. You can rent a neat apartment and still eat out a lot. Internet is solid. Coworking spaces and coffee shops have fast Wi Fi. There are regular meetups for freelancers and startups. I once walked into a free coding night and ended up swapping tips with a local designer.
Things to do are easy. Hike in nearby hills, try craft beer, or catch a music festival. For some, this will be amazing. Arguably not the best if you want year round beach weather. But if you want a lively city with good value and a friendly nomad crowd, give Cluj a try.
