WERK1 is a startup-friendly space in Munich that provides support to digital startups through startup offices, individual coaching, coworking spaces, and a vibrant entrepreneurial community. Located near Munich's Ostbahnhof, the WERK1 aims to create a motivating and inspiring work environment for entrepreneurs whether they opt for their own startup office or utilize the coworking spaces available. The organization functions as a high-performance center for digital startups and fosters a platform for entrepreneurs in an open, friendly, and unique atmosphere. The WERK1's goal is to ensure the success of digital startups, lay the foundation for future job opportunities, and generate a positive impact on Munich. The WERK1 operates two buildings, WERK1.4 and WERK1 Startup Hub, in close proximity to each other, easily accessible via public transportation or bicycle. The WERK1 Startup Hub, opened in early 2024, offers cost-effective office spaces for startups within the Stadtsparkasse München building, providing over 3,300 sqm of office and meeting spaces across five floors. The hub accommodates a community of 35+ digital startups, 250+ alumni, over 200 coworkers and freelancers, with a total venture capital investment exceeding 575 million euros. Additionally, the hub hosts over 100 events annually, fostering collaboration and networking opportunities within the startup ecosystem.
