Sasona Cooperative

Sasona Cooperative, established in June 2002 in Austin, Texas, functions as a part of a non-profit community housing organization known as CHEA. It emerged from the collaborative efforts of alumni from student cooperatives and has since become affiliated with NASCO Properties, promoting cooperative living across various states. The cooperative follows the Rochdale Principles, emphasizing an open and diverse community where individuals from varied backgrounds and lifestyles are welcomed. The membership process at Sasona is designed to be inclusive, requiring prospective members to attend two house meetings before acceptance.
