The community's mission is to create and maintain an environment conducive to meaningful living for all members, allowing for private needs while fostering a communal spirit. The physical layout of JPC is thoughtfully designed, featuring a central commons surrounded by townhouses and flats, along with a Common House equipped for various communal activities such as cooking, dining, and social gatherings. This architectural design promotes interaction while ensuring efficient and comfortable living quarters for residents. The co-op also emphasizes ecological responsibility, utilizing sustainable practices and materials wherever possible and encouraging resource sharing among residents.

Community members engage in regular meetings, which not only allow residents to shape their collective direction and growth but also facilitate open dialogue for addressing conflicts and misunderstandings.
