Hubitat is a co-working and hub space situated in Novi Sad, Serbia, established in 2018 as a project of DaFED, a non-profit organization focusing on networking and arranging educational events for the IT community. The workspace offers amenities like optical internet, WiFi, access 24/7, coffee, tea, mineral water, and community networking. The environment at Hubitat is described as casual, allowing co-workers to feel at home while being productive. Traditional meals are occasionally provided, catering mostly to meat lovers but welcoming vegetarians as well. The location of Hubitat is in the city center inside a historically significant building called Vatican, offering access to various nearby restaurants and pubs for relaxation. Membership plans include a free trial day, virtual address services for 41€ per month, hot-desk options for 13€ per day, and dedicated desks for 149€ per month. Additionally, the hub space allows for personalization of workstations and encourages a sense of community among members. Future investments at Hubitat are decided by the co-workers through a democratic process, with all proceeds from co-working rents allocated towards improvements based on the needs of the community. Planned updates include office lighting enhancements, standing desks, conference rooms, additional amenities like foosball tables, and a focus on creating a comfortable and collaborative environment for all members.
