Experience the best of coliving in Tirana
Tirana feels alive in a small city way. Colorful buildings, loud cafes, and street art meet old communist blocks and Italian style squares. Summers are hot and sunny. Winters get cool and sometimes snowy in the nearby hills. I loved the mix of history and young energy.
For digital nomads it checks many boxes. Cost of living is low compared to Western Europe. You can find cheap meals and affordable flats. Internet is generally fast in cafes and there are a few coworking spots where people actually chat and help each other. Most travellers enjoy the cafe culture in Blloku and the slow pace by the Grand Park lake.
There is plenty to do. Day trips to Mount Dajti and nearby beaches are easy. Museums, street markets, and a surprising nightlife keep weekends full. The nomad and expat community is small but friendly. I once joined a language exchange at a cafe and ended up on a hike the next day. For some, this will be amazing. For others it might feel too quiet compared to big cities.
