Experience the benefits of coliving in Casablanca
Casablanca surprised me. Big city heat by the ocean. Modern glass towers sit next to old medina streets. The Hassan II Mosque is huge and weirdly calming. Most travellers enjoy the Corniche at sunset. For me the sea breeze made hot days easy.
The vibe is busy and a little rough. Lots of cafes and rooftop spots to work from. I once set up my laptop at a cafe and the wifi held while I drank mint tea. I also joined a beach volley game at Ain Diab and met a web dev from Lisbon. Small world.
Cost of living is lower than Europe but higher than small Moroccan towns. Good internet in apartments and coworking spaces. Mobile data is a solid backup. Things to do are simple and real. Walk markets. Eat seafood. Take short trips to nearby towns. There is a growing nomad and expat scene. For some this will be amazing. Arguably not the best if you want quiet country life.
