I loved Bariloche. It feels like a small mountain town that never stops being outdoorsy. Lakes, snowy peaks, and lots of chocolate shops. Summers are warm and perfect for lake swims. Winters bring snow and skiing at Cerro Catedral. For some, that change of seasons will be amazing. For others, not so much.
Cost is friendly. Cheaper than Europe or the US, but tourist spots can hike prices. WiFi is good in cafes and most hostels. Coworking spots exist and are fine for Zoom calls most of the time.
Things to do are endless. Hike, bike, ski, or take a boat to Tronador. Most travellers enjoy evening craft beer sessions where people swap trail tips. I once joined a lakeside barbecue where a local showed me how to eat smoked trout. That felt real.
The nomad scene is small but lively. You will meet other remote workers easily. It might be perfect if you like nature and a relaxed pace.
